The Death of Love

The Death of Love

A heart…breaks
A lonely…hurt soul…cries
And ugly thoughts flood the mind

Remembering the happiness of the past
Bright hopes and big dreams
Now slivers and shards of broken glass
And so…
A heart…breaks
A lonely…hurt soul…cries
And ugly thoughts flood the mind

Curse the thief that steals love away
Hopes shattered…never to be set free
Dreams…stolen…now never to be
A heart…is broken
A lonely…hurt…soul…cries
And love…
Once pure and strong
Now…
has truly…
died

Hopefully with this poem I have purged the sadness from my pen and the next few poems will be happier poems filled with love, faith and happiness.
